Hello all! Another Texas member here.

I just bought my wife a used 2007 Tahoe Z71 4x4. I have already been doing a lot of reading around this place, and I went ahead and ordered the CCM 2.5/1 leveling kit. Now, I am looking at tires, which is where I need your help.

Without doing too much trimming, what is the larges size tire I can run with the stock wheels? Due to width, I would like to run the 275/70/18 GY Duratac tires. Those measure out to about 33.4". The other option is to go with a Nitto or BFG in 285/65/18. The 285 would be slightly shorter, but wider at the same time.

THOUGHTS???

I did a 2.5/1.5 level on my 4x4 avalanche LTZ, and I have 33x12.50R22 toyo open country MT tires and had to do some wheel well liner trimming. Just plan on trimming if you get anything bigger then a 33". Also what rims are you going with? The least amount of trimming will definitely be with the stock rims since it has a high positive offset.

That is a good lookin Avalanche! It sure makes me miss my old Avalanche. I had to switch to a 3/4 ton diesel for my new daily driver.

We are going to stick with the stock wheels for my wife's Tahoe. That is part of the reason I would prefer to go with the 275/70/18 if they will fit.

Thanks! Since you are staying with factory wheels you won't rub as much. Although a 33.4" will def rub more then mine bc of the height of the tires. Go with a 33x12.50R20 IMO.

Those will slide right off of her 18" factory Z71 wheels.
