Hopefully has seen this before. My landlord has a 2018 Suburban LT with the 5.3 engine. Just today, left turn signal problem. Intermittent fast flash on front and rear turn signal. It does not happen by itself. You can turn on the left turn signal and it will flash normally for a few seconds and then goes fast flash--front and rear. I removed the left rear t/s and brake light housing and pulled and inspected all the bulbs and they are clear and working and the sockets all looked good. I was wanting to inspect the front turn signal the same way and then I came up against what some of you b-i-t-c-h about for access. I decided to put that on the back burner and I pulled out my stethoscope and wanted to pinpoint the t/s flasher/relay. No help on the fuse/relay cover for I.D. of what I wanted. I can hear the tick-tick-tick noise easily but could not feel the tick/click at either of the relays, but the noise is definitely there. I then figured out that the noise was coming from under that fuse/relay panel. I saw the handles that I could open it all with and look under but chose not to till I posted here. He had to use the Suburban and I buttoned up and turned on the right t/s and it worked as usual and then turned on the left t/s and it worked as should for a good 15 minutes. He drove off thinking I fixed it somehow but I am not convinced unless a connection problem was at left rear and me just pulling the bulbs out and installing them, may have fixed it.

Three questions: 1. Is there a thread here, I know there should be, about gaining access to back of left headlight assembly?

2. Has anyone come across this before where both lights light up but can flash normal, intermittently, and then all of a sudden flash fast at each end?

3. I remembered something, after he drove off, and asked him and yes he did recently use his 2 axle trailer and just like every other time he has used it, the t/s worked as should. Several days since he towed before the current problem started.

Ok, well after 3, eternity, hours :D, I do know how to get the headlight assembly out for t/s bulb access. I do not have small enough hands. Soooo forget about request #1.

The dash info does say the problem is with the left front/driver's side, turn signal bulb, even though it does flash.

So, if anyone has seen where, one side or the other, both bulbs work but one side is doing the hyper flash shuffle. I appreciate any help if anyone has come across this dilemma before.

First I have seen a side have a hyper flash on both bulbs and they both light up. Usually one of the bulbs is obviously bad but in this case, it is not obvious.
