Instant 4wd mod. non auto-trac

anyone try this out? replaces the thermal actuator in the front diff. giving you instant 4x4 with the a pull on the cable.

sorry bout the question but ive read a few things online about waiting for our trucks to switch into 4wd but idk what everyones talking about, i hit my button and it switches almost instantly, it only takes more then a second once every like 30 times i hit the button. did i get lucky or somthing? or did mine just not go bad yet? i get confused everytime i read somthing like this

We installed one on my parents old 98 Suburban, was great. It still had the auto-trac, but we would just go to 4x4 lock, then pull the posi-lok in and out as needed, leaving it in 4x4 all the time. It was also great at the lake pulling the boat out, when we didn't want 4wd but needed more torque than 2hi allowed.

I keep waiting for the actuator on my Yukon to fail, but so far have been "disappointed."

Does it throw a service 4wd light with the front actuator unhooked?

I don't remember, that was in high school, 6 years ago.

I know of a few jeep guys runnin it in there CAD d30 and seems to work good..A few on gmfs have run it with good luck also
