Have a few questions.

Where have you guys routed your power wire? I plan on just tapping into the ACC wire behind my AVIC for the remote. I have heard there is a grommet on the drivers side that is easily accessed through the engine bay, is that true?

Also, where did you guys ground your amp? I haven't found any good answers to this one and my thought is simply shooting a couple of self tapping screws through the wire into the floor (below the carpet).

usually ground as close to the Amp as possible.

most folk use a "star" ground, with all the ground wires coming off one bolt, for all the components in that area. supposed to eliminate ground loops & hums

scratch the paint off before you put the bolt in, so it is metal to metal.

Yeah I've installed many setups before and I know to go 3 ft max from the amp...I guess I'll just cut a slit in the carpet I can push the wire through, then pull up the carpet, sand a good little spot, and ground it there.

Rear bench. Leaving the 3rd row in too, found a box that is 13" deep at the bottom, has a back slant that makes the top 10" deep, and the front is flat which I will face to the rear of the Tahoe. I cut up some cardboard to make a replica and made sure it fit fine before I ordered it. And also ordered a grill for the sub just in case, but it will have plenty of room.

I planned on just mounting the amp on top of the box, that way when I needed to haul something, I could pull the fuse under the hood, unhook the power, remote, and ground from the amp, and pull the whole shebang and 3rd row seats out.
