I have a unique problem on my 2007 Tahoe with a Z71 package and 200 000miles

Well since about 195 000 miles the Tahoe started to have this vibration when coming to a stop or cruising around 20-40mph. Had the tranny services done always with full synthetic oil like the motor and rear end too. I have had the brakes redone rotors new too brake fluid flush... Drive shaft was checked... But still this vibration. Other than that it runs great...
Anybody have a thought on what this could be

Vibration/shakes through the steering wheel is going to from the front (most likely tires) Shake/vibration in the seats/floor is from the rear. Have you had the tires checked in the rear? Out of balance? Tread separation? I just had 3 out of 4 of my tires have tread separation. Sometimes it's hard to visual see. If they put them on a road force balancing machine, they'll be able to tell. Just some suggestions.

I just installed 4 brand new tires, brakes are new and tomorrow 2 new motor mounts since the right side took a shit... But as of tonight it still has the vibration

Still have the tires road forced balanced. It is another step over a normal balance. My 20" all balance fine but 3 have excessive road force variance that will not cole down without new rims.

Press the button on the dash so you can see when your Tahoe is in V4 or V8 mode. If you notice that it vibrates in V4 mode, it is most likely the AFM. I had the same problem in my 07 and it went away after I disabled the AFM. I now have full time V8 and no more shutter.

You can do a full engine re-build, get a Black bear tune, or do like me and install the "range" device.

You wouldn't need a full engine rebuild, just a DOD delete kit.
Here's a complete list of parts needed to a DOD delete. This is a pretty in depth install using quality parts. Doing this on a stock truck you wouldn't need to spend as much. Especially if you were capable of doing this yourself.

You can disable the AFM/DOD through a tune via BB or a reputable local tuner.

You could also get the range device.

Thanks guys... Think I'll be ordering the Black Bear tune today don't like the range idea to much... Looks like the old girl will get a new lease on life...

flip it into N and see if it goes away. It could be the torque converter clutch not wanting to disengage when coming to a stop.

Check the U-Joints? 200,000 miles, probably need replaced anyhow.

So ordered the black bear tune... Excited but have tried a few things like putting the tranny in 3rd and the vibration is gone so I believe it's the AFM and trust that the tune is going to take care of it

Happy to report... That I just installed my BlackBear Tune... It is what we needed all along, vibration is gone...
Tahoe runs a whole lot better, and I should have done this years ago....

If you don't have a BB Tune... Don't wait do it
