how many of you guys who are running aftermarket rims 22s,24s,26, take there rims and tires off and put stock ones back on for trips or long drives? I took a drive to Vegas last year in my wifes car with 20s and of course got 2 flat tires in the middle of the Tehachipi Mountains. Not a tire shop near the town that carried the tire and If i wanted to wait for them to order it it would take 3-4 days. Long story short had to get towed, buy a old POS tire and put my doughnut on drive to the next town and get ripped off for 2 new 20 inch tires.... Taking the same drive next week and going to take my Denali on 24s with a Pirelli 40 series but not sure maybe put stocks back on.... What do you guys do? Any funny/ terrible flat tire stories with your aftermarket rims?

295 40 24 Pirelli... I guess if I am unlucky and get a flat tire its life not much I can do about that....

I've driven to vegas at least 6 times on my 22s. Not a single problem. Sounds like the tires were shit.

The old tires that i got flats were Nexen 225 35 20s...

Nexen tires are sh*t just like sunny and all those other weird names. My pops had sunny 305/45/22 on an expedition and they rode like we were on a wagon. Switched them out to falkens and rode a little better.

I've driven from FL to NC, 2,000 miles roundtrip, atleast 6 times in the suburban with the 24s. One trip while towing an enclosed trailer, no issues whatsoever! Kumho 295/35/24.

I drove to new Mexico from Louisiana to go snowboarding and got two flats. Had to buy two used tires then order two new ones. It was an expensive trip to say the least.

Yea that's how mine was pretty much a $700 detour...

Never have never will. 1st thing I do on my vehicles is remove spare tire. When I had the 30s on my Tahoe I went to Florida, Memphis, an other places. I'm sure it woulda been a ***** to find a 315/30/30 quickly

If you your tire size is hard to find, I would switch to a more common size for road trips.

Look on Craigslist and see if someone would be willing to sell you just that tool who have maybe wrecked their ride.

Just for Vegas you know your going to come back minus some money already so doesnt help to get flat tire and waste more... But too late I sold my stock denali rims and tires few minutes ago. Looks like Im rolling to Vegas on my Pirellis

I know what ur saying tho. I dont usually drive around town with a spare, but on long trips I always bring one. Its like carrying my gun, would rather have it and not use it, then not have it and wish I did.
