Help me put another one in the garage

Hi all,

My wife drives a 09 Suburban LTZ, and after quite a few road trips with the family in it, I'm really considering getting something similar for myself for my work car. My question is 2 parts:

1) My work commute is 10 miles each way, but I also frequently (1-3 times per week) drive to other cities, 2 to 3 hours away. Am I going to be cursing myself because of the mileage? I currently drive an AWD Lincoln MKX which gets 23 or so on the highway.

2) I am looking at a '13 Yukon Denali. I have access to employee "family" pricing through an aunt, but I am not sure about the deal. Basically, they are offering me a loaded up Denali (MSRP 63,380) for $56,684 + TTL after all discounts and rebates. They are also offering 0% for 72 months or $6500. Maybe I am reading too many of the "prices paid" posts over on Edmunds, but it seems that is just an OK deal. They are telling me they have no room to negotiate, with the GM family deal, and this is the best that anyone can get.

I could also just wait it out till the new ones come out (April?) and pick up a '14 at that time (or a '15 for that matter, but I'm not sure on the '15's looks).

Any thoughts? Is there something else I should look at? I much prefer to stay US-made.

MSRP is $63,380 and you're walking away with $50k+TTL? hot damn... is your aunt single? jk...

I don't know much because I haven't priced out a New Denali, I'm only looking at the nearly $14K off sticker, which seems pretty darn good. It's hard to look at what other people paid because you don't know if they had a trade in, etc.

We loved out 08 Suburban LTZ by the way... good choice on the vehicle. You should be even more pleased with the Denali and that 6.2L V8.

I personally would wait and get the newer truck........ or wait it out till the new ones hit and get a nnbs.

In a few months what you are paying will be very close to what normal people are paying. The n3bs are about to hit and these will be considered old.

Thanks guys. Well, I went over today and test drove it. Worlds different from the 'burb. It is the right colors - black on black. I'm going to sleep on it and give them a call them tomorrow.

It's sitting in my garage next to the suburban! It's such a nice vehicle. It's funny, I didn't notice a few of the things until it was home, I think it has every option except the power running boards (which is ok by me in this climate). It even has the rubber "GMC" floor mats and the dealer installed oem chrome exhaust tip.

Probably would rather have gotten some nicer weather tech floor mats, but these are fine. May still get different exhaust, I just love how the corsa sport sounds in the YouTube videos- not sure how loud they are in real life.

Took the family for a joy ride around some of our snow covered streets tonight, the truck just digs in and goes under heavy acceleration, and my two kids love it, they want to sit in the way back, to hear the "rumble".

I'm actually looking forward to my commute tomorrow, and the first road trip next week.

Corsa sport is EXTREMELY quiet inside the cabin. Ask Serge (Soulsea) about that one. Highly recommend that.

Yeti- so that's what they are called! Those are the wheels that came stock on the hybrids right? I may have to pick a set up come springtime.

They don't come stock iirc. I believe it's an upgrade. GM discontinued them due to manufacturing issues back in 03/12. But... They are coming back and we should have some next week.
