Whenever I go over a patch of (20-25 feet) rather bumpy small pot hole stuff road I feel like the whole truck is bouncing around and feels like I'm "fishtailing" .... again feels like it .... not actually doing it though. Any ideas?

Have you tried pushing on the rear of the truck side to side? It may have a broken suspension link.

Not sure if this is the same problem as you, but I had the same sensation with my Vette. Drive over a bug and it felt like it was hopping around and ready to launch.
Turns out it was due entirely to those @#$% runflat tires with their stiff walls. Put some non runflats on and my problem was solved. Not to mention significant reduction in noise and car felt like it was glued to the road.
