hey guys...so ive had an ongoing issue since i bought my tahoe this past thanksgiving....but its finally starting to drive me nuts. my heat always comes out the dash vents no matter what position i have it set to.....but the mode door does switch....i get heat out of the vents i selected...and the dash vents. and its alot too not just some blow by....its full blast....even if i close the vents it still blows around the vent. it wouldnt be so bad but it dries out my contacts every morning. any ideas? i dont think its the mode door but maybe im wrong.

There is a sensor that is behind the glove box I believe. You can get it at your local auto parts store for around $25.

There is a thread about this part, maybe someone knows where to find it?

i know on my 95 i have 3 actuators behind the dash, one by the firewall next to the fan, one behind the glove box and one to the left of the heater box going to the floor under the dash. make sure all work. mine cost me 50 a piece at auto zone. hope u find it out. i know what u mean , it is a pain.
