Headlights stay on with key fob lock?

Sometimes (but not every time), when I get out of the car and lock it with the key fob, the headlights stay on. Other times they go out right away. When they stay on, it seems like unlocking and re-locking causes it to turn off. It also seems like headlights go on when I unlock the car sometimes.

What is the logic here...

Haven't received my denali yet, but I've had some cars where the second time you pushed the lock button the lights cut out. Just a guess.

I noticed the same thing with the Tahoe this morning in the parking garage. I didn't try to re-unlock/lock the vehicle because I just assumed they would stay on for the duration of the 60 seconds I programmed. Interesting.

Sharper4, what do you mean 60 seconds you programmed?

mtaylor42, look in the owners manual page 551 for exit lighting to set your exit lighting time(30,60,120) which is under vehicle personalization.
