so i really hate the auto lamps, and the fact that i cant control the headlights of my 03 tahoe. I had a friend that had an 02 silverado where he could actually turn off his headlights, my switch doesn't. Is there a way i can fix this?? I've allready pulled the fuse on the DRL's but I still want to be able to turn off the headlights

turning it all the way to the left and releasing it doenst turn them off? mine does. turn it left past the normal off position. the switch will pop back to the off position by itself.

you gotta bad switch then.

I'm gonna guess when you do that you do NOT get the amber LED on the switch indicating auto lamps off.

A permanent fix is jumping two wires in the BCM. I forgot what two wires because it has been so long but you can search online for remvoing auto headlights.

I personally like the auto headlights, just there are times that they need to be turned off and now I know how!
