I was shown a link to the gentleman on Ebay selling the stepper motors, so I emailed him and he sells a complete resto service on the bad stepper motor, new bulbs, cleaned and recalibrated for $65! Dealer quoted me $350!
So I got ahold of him, great communication. I sent Brian my cluster Wednesday, and got it back today. Already installed, and gauges performing like they should.

For $80 shipped back to you, with lifetime warranty, a must do if you need stepper motor repair. He has 100% positive feedback as well on ebay, and for a small fee can add lifetime warranty colored LED lights while repairing your factory unit.

Just wanted to share.

I've been looking at his repair listing too. My speedo is going out. Good to know someone had good luck, and it was a good job. That will make my decision easier.

Decent deal on the repair service... 65+ 16 shipping + YOUR shipping to him... ~90? thats decent for all 6 replaced and the few filament bulbs swapped out.

BAD deal on the raw steppers @ 6 for 41.50 shipped. I got 7 for $31 shipped.

sure you can drive it, just make sure you have gas first. He got mine Thursday, did it and shipped back to me same day, so for me, shipped Wednesday, installed at 10am on Friday.

Pop trim ring off, four 7mm bolts, pull it out and detach wires, literally 3 minutes.

Just had mine done from an electronics store in TN (through eBay) http://stores.ebay.com/ABS-ECU-ECM-EBCM-COMPUTER-REBUILD They received it, replaced all motors and lights, and dropped it back in the mail the same day! If you link to ebay through Bing you can get 8% instant cash back, so instead of $60 to repair, it's only $55.20!! (plus S&h both ways). The total timeline is as follows: last Thur. afternoon removed cluster and priority mailed to TN (from Chicago), received by vendor on Monday morning and repaired and sent out in the afternoon, delivered back to me via UPS on Wed. morning.
