This camera replaced my bs rearview license plate camera that fogged up most of the time and was poor quality at night. Therefore, I got to the searching and found this. It is a rostra camera and comes with a 3.5" monitor. Very small and great quality in the daytime as well as night. They accepted my offer for $70 shipped. I didnt install the monitor because I incorporated the video feed into my dd headunit.

Yes and mouting pics. I will also invest in a Camera soon and dont need a monitor cause my DD headunit has a rcamera in.

My main concern is "kids" damaging/stealing the camera and ofc to get a good quality picture.

Here are a few pics I snapped with my iphone. I can't find my digi cam at the moment.

This a night view, the pics really don't depict the true quality of the camera.

It should fit in the onstar cubby and 'im not sure if it comes with enough wire. I had wire already from the previous camera.

I had a high resolution plate camera with a rearview tracker. It was advertised as high quality but was far from it. If you like the power wire may be hooked to a switch.

I plan on remounted mines under the bumper right above the tow hitch. Just haven't got around to doing it yet.

It would be nice to have a view from the top so you can see exactly where the bumper is and how far you are from hiting objects.
But I don´t see any smooth way of doing this without it being obvius. And would clearly atract attention from punks.
