Hey guys, just got done putting in a Kenwood DDX470 in my dads 03 Z71, and I gotta say, this new GMOS-100 is awesome! They fixed a lot of the issues, the buzzing noise at low volume is gone.

Perhaps the most notable thing about the GMOS-100 is that it allows you to retain RSE, if your truck came with it, as well as your steering wheel controls. It is a little pricey, but I am going to put one in my truck just to get my RSE back, and to get my steering wheel controls.

I just thought I'd share, I was pretty impressed......

So the RSE works just like before, except with the aftermarket radio? How much did it run?

This is frustrating as heck. :banghead: I just purchased a DNX9990HD and the GMOS-100i to put in the nbs denali and its been crazy the amount of extra stuff that has to be purchased to get this thing in there and now it seems I need MORE to get everything to work.

I should mention first I don't have any radio install skills, i'm just getting what it seemed like I needed. I purchased the Kenwood radio, then found out I needed an antenna adapter, then was told I would need a unit to retain bose and onstar so i got the gmos-100i but it didn't come with a classII harness so I had to get that, then I got the aswc to retain the steering wheel controls, for the kenwood I decided on I had to get the KAC iPod cable, then a dash kit, 12' of RCA wires for my JL amp and a backup camera. A friend tried to hook it up last night and still having problems with wiring the GMOS up. About ready to throw in the towel and just take it to a shop and pay the xtra money for them to do it. Its either that or let my friend rig it up his way bypassing a lot of stuff. :mad3:

i ordered my stuff through crutchfield you pay a little more but you get the dash kit antenna harnes for free. the gmos 100 i got for 100 bucks and included everything i needed. install is super easy. all you need is the radio harness and gmos harness follow the instructions for the gmos everything is color coded super easy just time consuming
