Bummer!

Good news is: Starters are suuuuperrrrrrr easy on these. Also, fwiw, starter is one of those items I'd get OE on if costs allow. I've not had great luck with remans. Assuming that's the starter that went sideways and not the ignition or relay or something :p
Maybe the relay or something..... But whatever it is, I'll be at the shop to solve it..once...
and I requested a new starter. ....and he has the tools to check.

Corroded cables and bad ground connections can make that happen. You can try jumping + 12V direct to the main post on the starter motor. From another battery or a jumper cable on the new battery. If the starter spins up, you know you have a cable or ground problem.
