I am wanting to change out the stock gears on my 99 2dr 4wd hoe. I have the 3.42 gears currently in but was not sure if I go to 3.73 or 4.10 if the housing would be strong enough to handle that? Or do i find a 12 bolt from the chevy 1500 w/t that comes stock with 3.73?

what size tires are you running? Mainly city or high way? Cost to go from a 3.42 to a 3.73 is not worth it.

You will hate 3.73 gears. If you plan to run 35s, I say get 4.56 gears. 4.10 for the 33s.
