Hello, I need to replace a gauge cluster in a 2007 GMC Yukon base model and the current one is too burnt out to do the repair for the dim LCD screen. I found one but it's from a 2007 Denali and the gauges are a different color. Is it still plug and play and will it work? I'm assuming yes because the plugs are the same but want to make sure.

Thanks for the reply, what about a cluster from a 2009 Silverado or Tahoe ?
Same thing the only one that is different is the Escalade cluster I swapped one in my Tahoe and had to splice the harness together to make it work but the Tahoe Yukon Silverado and sierra are plug and play

whatever you choose just have the vin and mileage programmed in so everything works as designed
if you just throw one in it will work but...the mileage will be wrong and it may show features you do not have or not have features you do have.

I ordered one with the same mileage, but it's from a 09 Silverado. It should work but we'll see what happens.

My only concern is I believe this Silverado cluster has temperature and compass and mine does not. Not sure what will happen.

You can buy a doorbell transformer from the hardware store, plug that into a photocell and your old cluster can be a nightlight in your garage. :Whoa::Whoa:

Don't assume the clusters are the same. I had to replace one and it can be tricky. The part number on the back has to cross reference to your old cluster. A parts person on ebay if you want to buy used can help with this issue and if they are wrong they will help you if they are a rupturable seller. They sent me one for a chevy pickup but I needed it for a GMC SUV. Just saying!

I used Circuit Board Medics (https://circuitboardmedics.com/) on my 2004 Yukon denali and they were awesome - Changed over to Blue LEDs - Real nice.

typically it goes by the year and not always necessarily the model for crossover purposes. I put a Cadillac cluster in my (old) silverado for instance and I have a police cluster in my denali. I could also put a denali digital cluster in my current silverado if I wanted to....
correct not to "assume" but there are a variety of choices and endless customization
