Yeah its certainly not HUGE. Its basically going to be industry standard in the next year and has minimal benefit since I cant imagine opting for LOWER audio quality and slower/finicky wireless charging.

I never really understood the ******* people have for wireless carplay. The music sound quality is noticeably worse than being hardwired and you can't charge your phone unless you have a wireless charging feature (which mine never worked).

Agree, it's been buggy for some time. I was surprised to find my 2020 Yukon actually supports my Pixel, and my wife and kid's iPhones now. Needless to say, the charging is still slow as hell. I'll take wired all day.

Funny how last year there was a thread where everyone was bitching about not having wireless CarPlay. Now that it’s available, no one (here now) wants it.

Its just not as cutting edge as it was a year or two ago when other vehicles started bringing it to market.

Either way, its cool the Ford Sync will have it as an update. Are you excited about that? At least you'll have it in the expy soon.

I never was a proponent of it for reasons stated. I said the same thing a few years ago when BMW first implemented it.

Cut the cord, miss the cord, go back to the cord, ***** about the cord again. Meanwhile, vendors are rolling in the cash we keep spending on it along the way...

& not to mention the phones keep getting bigger... so they dont fit the wireless charger on console
the only thing i can think is peoples hands are getting bigger and bigger or ones eye sight is getting worse and worse there by requiring a larger screen.

i have a 10" hand span so the bigger phones do make it easier to type on

no companies cant just keep making phones smaller... so to compete they had to go bigger.
& most car manufacturers are always behind the curve w/ tech.

They used to, remember that? Started with the “bag phone” a suitcase with a phone in it. The. The huge “Wall Street” phone, then Motorola flip phones (kept getting smaller) then the Razr. Then they started going the other way and getting bigger and bigger, lol

^ yup, its funny how they vary the size.

it will probably go back to small ones in a few years... given in a few phone generations... they will be at tablet size very soon & then make the table foldable LOL
