So, when I go to refuel my 2011 Tahoe the gas pump nozzle will always click off numerous times before the tank is full. I can never just lock the pump on and leave I have to constantly wait a few seconds and then start the pump again or hold the nozzle and pump the fuel very slowly. This issue happens at all gas stations so it's a vehicle issue. Is there something in the fuel tank causing the fuel to back up into the filler hose? Has anyone else had this issue??

Check for any codes. You did not mention whether you had any CEL on. Sounds like the evap system is giving you fits. it is a PITA. I have seen many threads here about these problems and people replace a part and then another part and then another part. I took the hint. I replaced the entire evap system and have never had a problem. To be fair, I was not having problems before I did the parts replacements though.

The system needs to be able to vent through the canister and through the vent valve. Either one (or both) of those could be plugged, or the vent valve could be stuck closed, or its filter plugged.

Plenty of threads here with solutions, and a bi-directional scanner (Tech 2) would help you diagnose it.
