Hi. So my 2014 PPV has some front end rebounding after bumps. Looking at the service records it looks like the front struts have never been replaced. It has 245,000 km on it.

I'm planning on replacing the front struts, mounts and perhaps springs. The strut options seem to be the Belltech 25004 or the Monroe 39106. All I'm after is improving the ride as it can get a bit sporty hitting bumps at highway speed. Not planning on lowering it.

If anyone has used either of these or has any tips what else should be done at the same time I would appreciate hearing from you. Thanks.

I have not used either, but I'm sure that other folks on this Forum have, and they will chime in.

You also could use OEM struts and get your truck back to its original ride. Go to GMPartsDirect.com, enter your VIN, and see what the OEM pricing is for the struts.

If you’re finding assembled struts, I’m assuming they are not PPV specific units?

I replaced the shocks on thecopcar, but had to do the whole spring compression thing. I used OEM shocks, since I figured they had worked well for 190k miles.

Went with Belltech ProStreet and ditched the Monroe PPV shocks and struts. Way too firm. Also changed out the front and rear springs.

I now have a 2013 Tahoe PPV with 76k miles and need new struts.

In the case of Belltech 25004’s, as these are just the shocks and not coilover (shock + spring combo), does this mean I would re-use the springs and swap them onto the belltech‘s?

I am refreshing front suspension completely.

Thank you!!

I was not able to find strut assemblies for a PPV, so ended up putting new shocks in with the original springs.
