Our Suburban LTZ (heated & cooled) driver seat bottom cover vented leather was damaged/worn when we bought it. A local yard has a complete LTZ passenger seat with a slashed back for really, really cheap. I've spent a bit of time searching here and I see that the pads are interchangeable, and I see that The Seat Shop lists different part numbers for the covers, but how significant are the differences? Have any of you that have replaced the covers compared them and noted the difference(s)?

This is kind of a difficult one. 07-09 had heated and cooled seats that had a Thermal Electrical Device (T.E.D.) and the cushions had channels built into the seats to direct air flow. Sometime after 2010, the T.E.D. was changed to just being a fan blower that ventilated the seat, and there was sort of a plastic mesh to distribute the air.
