Hi all i have a 2001 Z71 Sub and an LS Tahoe. will be parting out the Sub, I would like to put the front lower valance with fog lights from Sub on the Tahoe, are there accommodations to plug them in on the Tahoe harness somewhere at front for lights and at dash for the factory switch? thanks for input.

The Tahoe should've had factory fogs in it already. Is the fog light switch still in the Hoe? The lower valance is easy to swap, iirc it's plastic clips, or screws going into plastic clips. If the fog light connectors are missing in the Hoe, I'd cut and splice the Burbs in.

Weird. Was it in service of some kind? Municipal/County vehicle? Usually when a vehicle didn't come with fogs, those slots for the fogs are solid plastic. I had one of those solid ones before. If your parting the Burb out, just pull the entire fog light harness, including the switch, out. You'll most likely have to separate it from the wire loom tho. This is where patience comes in.

Wiring sux! Good luck with the vette. Sometimes, what I've done in the past--if the harness is a pita to pull, I'd just cut off all the connectors, splice them onto new wire, run it where it needed to go, and be done with it.

EDIT--What are you doing with the vette? Sound system?

If you want it wired up completely like factory then you need to turn the pin on the *CM. Otherwise you just ground each light, and wire it up to an aftermarket switch.
Assuming you have the ($20-$40 )switch, ($20-$100) harness, and the lights with brackets. Its the difference between a $50-$150 tuning adjustment compared to a $5 switch. Both methods are pretty easy, there are youtube vids on both.

Thank you. yes I should have everything. I have my complete Z71 with the lights and switch which I will be parting out. I want to move these lights over to the LS Tahoe.

This. You cant just throw a harness and switch in from a vehicle with fogs.
