Flushing or cleaning A/C on 2017 Tahoe

So I have a mildew smell coming out of my ac when I first turn it on.
I saw some guys cleaning the ac system through the ac drip line, is that effective?
I have a brand new cabin filter BTW.

Your issue could be resolved with this :

It's basically (probably cheaper!) the same price you'd pay for an AC service, but, you'd be able to do it whenever you wanted, again and again. Run the AC on recirc, set the ozone generator for an hour or so, roll up the windows (leaving enough room for the power cord) and go do something else until it's done.

Open all the windows, let it sit for about 15-20, then go for a drive to air it out.

Repeat as needed.
