HI All,

I'm looking to put some Flowmasters on my 2016 Tahoe. I did some looking around and I've only seen 1 system available. Does anyone have any other recommendations? Or does it look like I might have to wait since the truck is new? I'm looking for something with an aggressive tone!

Thanks!

Are there any opinions out there on just swapping out the muffler? I think they re-worked the exhaust and added some sort of valve to the exhaust. I've always been a fan of just swapping the muffler and removing the rear resonator, But I don't know if things have changed at all? I'd be up for some guidance as well
Thanks

I had a muffler shop install 40 series Flowmaster and removed the rear resonator on my 2016 LTZ Tahoe. It's not too bad, but it's still too quiet for my taste. I'm looking for a system with good performance (better than stock) and aggressive sound.

I ended up finding a nice Corsa Performance Sport Exhaust on ebay for a good deal. It has a nice dual gloss black tip. I installed it a few weeks back and I love the way it sounds. I definitely recommend going this route.

I'm a huge fan of Flowmaster, nothing says American Muscle car/truck like Flowmaster, IMO. Im looking to get a Flowmaster part # 8425453 for my 2001 Denali XL. Hope the pipes match up (size) and out the stock exhaust tip (sleeper look) with out too much work...

I just pulled the trigger on this version! Should be here by the weekend. Debating whether to pay a shop to install it or do it myself.

First, I want to apologize for the lack of response. I recently took over Got Exhaust this past September and had not changed the contact email here on TYF, so I wasn't receiving notifications of posts or responses to posts. That being said, Got Exhaust is back in business and I will be helping where I can.

You won't be disappointed man! I had access to a lift and it took my brother and I about a hour and a half to install it. It's a pretty cool project in my opinion. Hearing this thing when you're driving in Manual mode is one of the best sounds.

I just put the flowmaster 50 series big block cat back system on this week. Complete bolt on. Put it on a 2012 Denali w/ 6.2L. Very impressed

Msalinas, I think you will be much happier with that Corsa, than you would have been with Flowmaster. I cringe when I see people mention Flowmaster. I'm just not a fan.

After extensive research I went with the original 40 flowmaster. Nice aggressive sound on acceleration and moderate in cab. My install was from cats back, single in/out. Still tip shopping. Hard to find original 40 stocked took a week special order. Tons of visits on YouTube didn't do enough justice I love it. That is the one I want as well. I just am having a difficult time getting past the $1100 price tag. That is almost twice what I paid for a 4" turbo back system installed on a crew cab long bed diesel truck. No way in the world its worth the price, especially since its sound only and zero performance gains, unlike the sewer pipe I installed on the oil burner. Having said all that, I will probably still plunk down the cash and get the Corsa cat back, solely because it sounds and looks the best. I am not happy about it however~~~!!!!
