Guessing you didn't own any stick shift vehicles.
Its a dying art….;)
When i first started at my company most of trucks were stick… new crop of guys they hired after me couldn’t drive them and mechanics were constantly doing clutches… company switched to automatics shortly after that

We made sure both of our sons could drive stick. One has had a stick GTI for several years and the other has had 3 different 3 peddle rides so far. I’m old school and was driving farm equipment and my dad’s school bus before I was 13.

Can't say "no one". There are 3 Escalades in my sub with 24's and the look really good. I will be #4 with 24's, that I'm aware of, on the Ultimate I'm fixing to order.
you are right. I was just exaggerating my point. I am just not a fan. They throw the profile off in my opinion. The 22” wheels really work in my experience.

I wasn't a fan of the 24's at first until I saw the Escalades with them. I walk by one every morning while out with my dog and I've gotten used to seeing them. I'm not thrilled with the standard 24 offered on the 2026 Yukon Ultimate. Hoping there will be a change. If not, I'll probably do an exchange at Detroit Wheel and go with pvd chrome standard wheels.

So time is moving fast! We got the Denali in late March, and here are my initial thoughts.

Still very impressed with the ride quality considering it has the ridiculous 24s.
The overall exterior is very well lined up, no odd panel gaps, paint is almost flawless.
The interior is a nice upgrade of our 21' and the leather on the front seats is pretty damn good.
The truck has not left us stranded, so that in itself is a huge upgrade of the Grand Wagoneer. And generally, most things always work, with the exception of the park assist.

A few things that have been less impressive
The park assist is constantly failing; it will just randomly go off, and then it will start working. Always a different message. Most of the time it will just say unavailable.
The setting for the drowsy driver alert is constantly turning itself back on, I have had to turn it off multiple times. I'm not sure why it keeps coming back on. It is very annoying, both my wife and I wear glasses and it just can't see our eyes very well and just goes nuts.
Brings me to the next thing, the Super Cruise, when it works, its pretty good, other than highways with curves(seems to not see vehicles directly in front), it is a very solid system. However, I have to wear my contacts and cannot wear my polarized sunglasses; the system struggles to see me. So most of the time I am just using Adaptive cruise control.

A few minor nitpicks: the driver's seatbelt always gets stuck between the B pillar and the seat, very annoying but our 21' did the same thing, so I ahve finally gotten used to it.
The Android-based radio software is buggy and will randomly lose functions. One time, the heated seats would not work until I turned off the truck and restarted it.
The Bose sound system is meh. My Ram with a base Alpine system is wildly better, and that truck cost less than half of the Denali:p the Ram also has much better carpet than these Yukons.

Overall, we are very happy with it, hoping I can get the dealer to look at the Park Assist and Homelink, but neither are worth a special trip, so I will wait till I do the second oil change.
We just hit the 5,000 mile mark ourselves with our HC. Supercruise is nice. Still has trouble with left highway exits. It does seem to bounce around on the highway, enough that I feel that I could get pulled over. I just help it a bit to prevent lane wander.

No other issues that I could mention.

I gloss black powder coated my 24's and they look sharp... Get lots of complements on the overall blackout look....
