@Gtir007 , you my friend are my total hero right now! This esky belongs to the family I share a house with and my tailgate hatch looks exactly like hers without the esky taillight lol. So I can buy your taillight assembly and not have to worry about swapping the hatch out as well! Lol. I don't get why the newer version that came out in 04/05 is on 05's and 06's. They basically make two different esky third brake light set ups for the two rear glasses of the esky. I got one on my 05 Tahoe and did 3m tape all the way around it. Looks good to me:

@felixgun , that's clean! I like it! I dont get why they had to be so difficult and make two setups either. Its pointless. But I wanted the setup like mine So that everything hardware wise stays the same because I'm **** like that haha.

@gtir, the base and light are both the same. But the base on the one I need will not be bolted directly to the glass hatch that can't be separated. It'll have screws going through that can be unscrewed and separated from the hatch.

I have one for the newer one and have an older glass with the rubber trim around the perimeter of the glass. Even though mines a 2005. It's definitely killing me inside but it looks good and the 3m tape I used is the same on door mouldings so it's not going anywhere.

@gtir, just checking, you Are selling me,this taillight and the base assembly that mounts,to the hatch right? Not just the light lens itself? And the esky assembly? Not the black non painted yuko/suburban trim piece? The two pieces you showed me a pic Of one is the esky assembly and the other is the yukon assembly and I want the esky assembly Not the yukon piece.
