We just recently purchased a 2015 Escalade that only came with one keyfob. I need to buy another one because my wife is planning on losing this one at some unknown time. Anything that I need to look out for? I see OEM versions on Ebay for about $100 but I'm a little worried I'm going to buy the wrong one. Can you buy an incorrect version for a particular year?

Most likely the same part across multiple years. Any identifiable part number on the outside or inside.
I picked up a few for my 15 Yukon that were listed as 16 and 17. They looked identical, had the same PN and have had no issue.

Take the truck and/or the one FOB to your local locksmith.

I had the same situation when I purchased my new-to-me 07 Yukon XL Denali, and I took both to my local locksmith. I was given a choice for a new or refurbished FOB, and once I chose, the locksmith programmed it to my truck. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes at a cost of $75.
