i swore i saw a thread about this but i cant find it for the life of me. for the last few weeks, randomly when i hit my right turn signal, my emergency lights come on. it happens so randomly i havent been able to relate it to much, other than its always with the right blinker, never the left.

Lucky for you, I just recently had this issue as well and I did all the leg-work for you. ;)

Apparently it's a fairly common problem, actually. You need a new flasher module. They are cheap and fairly easy to replace, you just have to take the dash under the steering wheel off.

Part number 10383321

And there ya' go. :D

That was probably my thread you saw. Nobody ever did respond to it, I just had to figure it out myself. I should note that mine is exactly opposite of yours...my hazards only came on with my LEFT turn signal, and never the right. Don't know if that'll make any difference in the solution or not, but I'd guess it wouldn't.

The price on that part has actually dropped about $15 since I got it, so I'd snap it up now.

Your turn signal will sound different afterward for some reason. Not bad, just a slightly different noise than what I was used to....lol.

Have you installed it yet? Mine was kind of stuck in there and was pretty difficult to get out. It's just in an awkward spot and hard to get a good grip on....

Yeah, you have to take the whole top part that surrounds the gauges off in order to properly take the lower section off. There are a few bolts on the bottom one, if I remember correctly. Seems like there were 2 obvious ones and then another one kind of hidden that I didn't notice at first. Either way, it's not hard to do. The whole install only took me about 10 minutes, give or take.

Nice write up, with pics even. That'll make it easier for others down the road.

Anyone else have issues with seat heaters after installing this? I don't know if it's just coincidental timing or not, but my seat heaters won't stay on, and I hear a click that sounds like it's coming from that module or very close to it when they shut themselves off.

no issues here, but that makes me wonder. my seats, in the past, would random scroll thru the heat settings on their own. it happens randomly, but has not happened since i swapped this unit in

That's interesting, I wonder if indeed that module is somehow involved with the seat heaters in some way!! Wonder if OmarR will see this and possibly chime in, if so I'd be tempted to buy one to see if that revives my drivers side seat heater!!

no. the bottom piece has two inserts to the frame, gently push out one side underneath if you can, then the second one. don't twist or turn or the insert will crack or break.

did the part number work or was it a different one- like: 157XXXXX?
