Electronic Limited-Slip Differential (eLSD)???

Hey everyone so is eLSD good or worth it? I’m ordering a ‘26 XL Denali with reserve package (in Canada) and want to add on adaptive air ride suspension. I can either buy Air ride as an $1100 add on or get the Premium Capability Package with Active Response 4WD which includes both air ride and eLSD for $2,065.

I want to know I can still drive in 2wd and engage both 4 Auto and also 4Hi separately. Not sure if eLSD interferes with this?

When conditions are really crap during the worst of winter driving I like being in 4HI and having the diffs locked. I do not like 4 auto and the shifting of power between the axles. I think it’s less effective and more awkward to drive when roads are complete crap. I only use 4A if roads are only lightly messy and there’s a mix of clean pavement and the odd messy patch.

Can someone educate me on whether I would want eLSD?

I am not an off-roader except for the odd dirt road and maybe a loose rock boat ramp here and there. Thanks!

Yes, you can engage 4auto and 4hi on the transfer case individually.

eLSD is definitely better than the G86 mechanical locker they give you...responds more quickly to lock the rear diff up. I have it, and for the small premium over the Air Ride only, I feel it is worth it.
Note, it does have a more expensive Diff Fluid, so it does cost a bit more (~$50 US) for a rear diff fluid change.
On the up side, it never had the groaning/whining noise of the G86 before they changed the fluid.
