Hi all,
On my recently acquired 07 LTZ the drivers side assist step has stopped working. For a short period it refused to raise fully when closing the door (it would travel about 1/3 before stopping) and now its quit completely (in the down position).
There was one active and one stored code in the BCM
B1000-54 and B051A. Visual inspection of the board and motor seems fine, Ive already cleaned the multiplug and put it back together (no difference)... in fact the motors on both sides are relatively new, having been relatively recently replaced by the previous owner.... although I cant speak for the quality of the parts used of course.
Any insights - is it a case of just ordering a new step motor and seeing if it cures it?
