We installed a RTT on our Yukon xl Denali that was running the border patrol spec rear springs. Rated at 225# rate iirc.

The dobinsons c09-045 are 245# I think… and just a hair longer. Like maybe 1/3 inch.

It lifted the rear 2/3” and tightened the rear up greatly. No more packing on the rear end.

Super happy considering the weight increase.

If I was not adding 200# on the roof (ikamper deluxe) I’d have stuck with the BP springs.

I’m going to swap the coilover springs too for a little stiffer and see how that feels. Preload increase is an option but I have a bunch of springs laying around.

Old springs… I’ll get the photo with the new ones tomorrow. I also need to swap the springs on the coilovers and lift the front a little to get close to a level

Mind if I ask for websites so I can learn more about these?

As much info as you're willing to share.
Although the vehicle platform is too old for most people to care about, I knew / know enough about the GM B- & D- frame front & rear spring packages to help anyone make a Fleetwood that can catch up to an Impala SS on badly maintained roads - and there are a handful of people who eclipse my knowledge on the subject.

When it comes to the GMT82x & 83x / short & long wheelbase suvs, I know almost nothing, and nothing quantitative at all.
So when you wrote
... border patrol spec rear springs. Rated at 225# rate iirc.
my 'go learn something' alarm went off, because I want to learn about front and rear spring rates,
so that when I get the stiffer torsion bars I want (RPO YT if possible?), I can select appropriate rear coils commensurate to the front spring rate increase.

So, um, any help you can provide would be appreciated, because I've found almost none to date.

I followed your other thread in like 2022-2023 when you first got the BP springs. How does one even source those anymore?

How does one source the border patrol springs? Or the Dobsons, for that matter?

Sorry, yea that’s the link.
The BP springs, I still have in my garage. Idk what it would cost to ship them, but I’d sell for $80 plus shipping.
