Disappointed in ride quality?

I have a ‘21 Yukon with MRC and air suspension. I recently bought a set of 2021 OEM 20” Yukon wheels to replace the 22” wheels it came with. The ride is definitely smoother, so much so that my wife even noticed the difference. The 20” rims also seem to match the chrome trim on the Denali better than the 22s and I find myself not worrying as much about large pot holes due to having more sidewall on the tires.

I wish 20" wheels were possible with the MRC and air suspension from the factory. I'm not really interested in 22" wheels.

Thats a big reason i wound up with the At4 over a Denali ... At4 and Tahoe Z71 come with 20's and MRC - and AIR can be optioned.

I really like the look of the 22” Texas edition wheels and have them on the 21 Tahoe. But I changed them out for the standard premier 20” wheels on the 22 Tahoe’s I ordered.

I have a 2021 Tahoe High Country with 6.2 engine. I just returned from the dealer where I had complained about the ride and cabin noise level.

I have told them that it rides like it has 100 psi in tires! Make bumping and rumbling noise on road? It is very agrivating. They acknowledged the noise and said they checked it over. Found nothing!? Returned it to me saying it was normal?? Blamed the noise and bumpy ride on the operation of the 6.2 engine??

Anyone else experienced this issue? Found a solution? What can I do next to resolve this issue.

Many are suggesting that the 22” tires/wheels may be contributing to the rough and loud ride that I am experiencing. What all would have to be changed or replaced to allow me to go to 20” tires and wheels? Thanks in advance for your comments.

I'm changing ways and doing exactly this.

Tires If you go from the 275/50r22s to 275/60r20s, the overall diameter difference is only 0.2 inch, you'll won't notice anything on the speedometer (0.4mph @60mph) but you'll gain 1.1 inch of sidewall.
TPMS (unless you pull yours out of the 22's)

I have 21 Premier with the 20 inch rims and magnetic ride. It is really the only thing I don’t like about the way the vehicle looks. Maybe just the style of rims. I do like how the rims on the upgraded LT looks. To me the vehicle looks too big for the rim/tire combination with my set up. I don’t get that same thought when I see the LTs with 20s. Can’t quite put my finger on it. It hasn’t bothered me enough to do anything about it and wonder if some more aggressive tires would do the trick.

I have a 2021 Yukon SLT without any fancy suspension and 20" tires and find the ride pretty good considering this is a big SUV. The ride is even better with my winter tires and wheels. I use 18" allows with 275/70 R18 and the higher sidewall allows the the tires to absorb the road conditions even better than the 20". That being said, they are a little noisier because of the more aggressive thread.

When you look at the tire size comparison, other than the higher sidewall, the diameter and width are practically the same.
