waxed floss to cut it loose if needed, otherwise a really hot light shining on it so you can peel it. goo gone to clean it up, and a buff and wax to even the paint out.
I'd tell the dealer to do it. I know its common practice to put those things all over new vehicles, but my dealerhip doesn't do it at all. Customers really appreciate it.
..........unless they're willing to pay you for advertising. haha
When I have removed badges I used fishing line to cut it off then a 3M eraser wheel to take the adhesive off. Then some goo gone to make sure the sticky is gone. And finish with a wash. You can check youtube for some instructional videos.
I've used a fresh razor blade, prepsol (prep solvent) and a steady hand, then a quick buff and wax......the trick is to not get through the clear, small scratches are fine, they'll come out with the buff and wax, just don't go through the clear and into the paint.
