Searched and didn't see anything that addressed what I believe is my issue. Is it possible for the CV axle(s) to make a "whirring" sound? Is that an indication of anything going bad? It's primarily noticeable at low speeds (<5 mph) when turning (2wd is selected on the dial). Especially when backing up. Only mod to the front suspension is the SuspensionMaxx SMX-GM725M leveling kit (only using the 1.5" lower spacer).

-Doesn't appear to be a grinding sound
-Boots are intact, no evidence of slung grease
-Sounds like the CV axles are under a load
-Similar sound to when Auto 4wd is engaged - but not noticeable to me when traveling in a straight line (2wd is selected on the dial)
-Does not sound like the driveline noise I usually hear from the front axle when 4wd is engaged.

Clear as mud? Let me know you thoughts/troubleshooting suggestions.

Wheel bearing?
Certainly not ruling that out, but it just doesn't sound like one that's going bad based on my past experience. Of course, I'm not really sure what that's worth...

Drive straight down a flat smooth surface and at around 40-50 mph and then move the steering wheel from 10-2 or 11-1 and see if you hear anything when loading the bearing. Turning to left loads RF bearing and turning right loads LF bearing.

Could also be brake rub noise and may have pad hardware problems.
