I was recently on a long vacation drive, and the Cruise on my 2007 chevy tahoe quite working. Periodically I could get it to engage, and would work again for a while. I decided to try different things while driving, and see if I could get it to work. What I found out, was I seem to have alittle play in my brake pedal. If I pull the brake pedal up with my foot while driving, the brake pedal would move toward me very slightly. Once I have pulled the brake pedal toward me, then the cruise whould engage. This would work everytime.
Does anyone know if there is a switch on the break pedal that disengages the cruise when you step on the brake? If so, can it be adjujsted? By the way, I have adjustable pedals on the vehicle.

There is a switch on the brake pedal that disengages the cruise and is normally adjustable. Try adjusting this and see if it helps.
