Yeah, it will definitely help. Transgo HD2 shift kit would be the next move if that doesn't make you happy enough.

I believe you're suppose to use the original pin. No need for the long one, I had read about it a while back, I'll try finding the thread or article.

I used my stock pin and I still felt a solid improvement in shift quickness and shift firmness with only the vette servo

I got all excited when I read about the tires barking shifting into second. I thought, 'Oh Cool! I want that!' , so this morning, I printed out the ebay page and walked over to our Mech. This is where experience counts. the old guy said, 'Son, what happens in the winter with your posi rear end when you goose it?', I replied, 'The ass end gets all squirly'. He said, 'think about it', and walked away....

So I left pondering his words of wisdom.

Duh, turns out that up here there is no bare, dry pavement from Dec to April. It's mostly snowpacked to some degree.
All winter long shifts from 1-2 would send the ass end sideways each time. 'Good for California', he said, 'bad for Northern Ontario'

sigh.. so no servo mod for me....:disgust:

Good luck and have fun with yours though!

Do you guys have TransGo servos or AC Delco servos??

Any differences between the 2?

Nice. I just ordered mine yesterday.

Did it come in an AC Delco bag?? This should have been the OEM one.

i have a shiftkit installed in my truck, i can get em to chirp into second by just leaving it in drive, not manually shifting :) hoping to get a bigger chirp with more bolt ons and exhaust.
