Thanks again guys!
Here is what has been going on for the last couple days.
The hoodliner was delivered and I ordered another one b/c it's just not big enough to cover the hood the way I want so I ordered another one so each covers half. Some body work on the aftermarket bumpers I bought, they were a little uneven at the sides and a little wavy, but now she’s perfect and primed. The hood got 2 coats of primers as well, along with the hinges (notice the elongated holes).
Well the pics will explain themselves …

Little bit of progress, The bottom of the hood and the hinges have been sanded and ready for copper paint tomorrow. Obviously the bottom won’t need much paint other then the perimeter not being covered by the hoodliner, but the center will get a light hit of copper to protect the primer. Hit the repaired bumper brackets along with some other rusted areas on the front undercarriage with some rubberized under coating. Also started taking apart the driver seat, but I ran into a road block…How the hell does the arm rest come off? If anyone has done the covers on these seats please enlighten me. Boss?
Well here are some pictures of what’s going on….

I still need to finish up the edges with some dynamat finishing tape but for now the hoodliner is in. I ended up only using 1 hoodliner, but I will keep the 2nd for when the engine swap comes, so I can line the firewall with it.

Damn copper, you're as **** as me man...

If I remember correctly....I think arm rests are held on by some sort of clip, so I think you have to get behind the leather in the backrest. You can do that by pulling out the bottom and using a tool to reach in and unhook it. To put the arm rest back in, you can clip the clip on with a little lube and pop the rest back in after you put on the leather and the arm rest cover

Just attempting to make this ride perfect...
Thanks for the info on the armrest I'll try that as soon as I get a chance.

Here is what I did to the back of the front bumper. For better protection it has been coated with the same rubberized undercoating I used on the frame and bumber brackets.

So what is the rubber coating you used for the bumper brackets up front? What's the purpose?

Protects against rust, and is alot more durable then paint. It won't chip off if a rock hits it like paint can do and leave a spot for corrosion to set in.

I like how that looks alot more than any other rubberized undercoat. Usually that shit is all gommed up and just looks like shit, that however looks 1/2 ass smooth but gives a little texture, looks good.

Yeah it's good stuff, there is still a few other areas needing to be spayed with it. Like the back side of the rollpan and other areas of the frame.

Here are a few pieces that got primed today. The rear monitor section is only primed to seal the different layers of fiberglass, bondo & plastic in prep for glue and leather. The bottom of the driver's and pass seat trim is being primed for a shot of black w/ flat clear.

Some dust and shit got caught in my drying clear coat so I may need to shoot clear again after some sanding we'll see. The Air Dam got hit with the same undercoating on the back side and is now due for primer and paint. I also did a little bit more on the seats, and covered the driver's bottom with the black cover only to find a cut in the side in the most visable spot....Oh well, guess I'll be searching around for another one of those, or maybe get it repaired enough to not be noticable.

This is the 2nd row frame from an Avalanche that I took the seats from. If anyone is interested you can have it for $25 (for the box and packing materials) plus the actual shipping cost.
