I’m looking for advice regarding a DPF delete on my diesel vehicle. I’ve heard mixed opinions about potential benefits such as improved performance, better fuel economy, and reduced maintenance costs.

However, I’m also concerned about possible drawbacks, including legal issues, emissions compliance, inspection problems, engine reliability, and resale value.

If you can get a reputable tuner that knows what they are doing, then YES it's a worthwhile endeavor. Modern emissions are a joke on diesels. Burn more fuel to be 'cleaner' and then use ammonia to clean it.

You will see improved fuel economy, generally cooler running because you're not cooling 1200F exhaust gasses anymore, and in essence better longevity overall.

But, you'll need to weigh the cost return on the investment, especially if you don't keep vehicles forever.
