concerned about suspension

i have not made any changes to the suspension since i had it for a year now wanting to know what needs to be looked at and what needs replacement. i have 24 inch wheels on it and dont wanna have to post a thread about my 24 rollin down the highway or anything thanks in advance i can post pics after i get off work of behind the wheel and such. my ride is bumpy cause i have 24 inch wheels i know but have a feeling that if i possibly replace shocks and other suspension items that it could possibly be a better ride thanks in advance

well when i brake i fell a wobble in the steering wheel some times not a violent wobble its more preventive i would think more than anything

your turning big rollers, time for some new rotors, check front and rear rotors for runout and replace/machine if necc.

if you don't want a big brake kit , face it who doesn't , you might want to just upgrade your pads to something with more bite and rotors to a slotted/drilled rotor ( sounds like you might need rotors anyways) also i have heard that replacing the rubber flex hose to the caliper with a stainless braided line delivers more pressure from your foot to the calipers piston cause the steel doesn't flex and the rubber line will

but even with the slotted rotors and Hawk performance pads, that heavy ass wheel is still going to tear them up quick

ive rode 24s and 26s and never had much of a rough ride, but you should at least get some better brake pads,but ive rode jus regular ole brake pads and not had probs, sounds like you jus need to change yours

i changed break pads like not even 2 months ago i know i will eat up some brakes but its suspension that i think needs a look at like shocks,and watever else goes wit it

sounds like maybe some new shocks...

easy. Is your truck stock height or lowered. The rear shocks are so easy, the front is a little bit of a pain in the ass. I did mine in the driveway last time in about 2 hours but a steering stabilizer also went on

Each one has 2 bolts that go into the body at the top, and a big bolt into the rear end at the bottom. Super easy, especially if you hit it all with some WD40, and go for a quick drive around the block.

Sounds like you need to invest in a steering stabilizer first.

i went to shops today they all telling me 300-500 to get all shocks replaced

All 4 will run you about 2-300 online depending on which brand you go with. Steering stabilizer is about 75-100 if I remember correctly. Both you cam easily do yourself.

Yeah, don't go to the shop. They'll charge you an hour or two of labor at $100/hour, and they'll take a 15% markup profit on the shocks. Just go to Schuck's, and tell them what you're looking for, and ask for several different options as far as cost is concerned. They'll get you taken care of in the $200-$300 range, as mentioned above.
