Climate Control Switch

Today the A/C on my 03 Tahoe stopped blowing when the switch was set from 1-4, but when on 5 (max) it blows. No problem with the temperature or anything like that, just when the selector switch isn’t on 5.

Any thoughts?

Sounds like that switch burned out.

Like Tony says or maybe the resistor. Or both. WAG


Looks like 4 AC Delco choices for the controller/switch and 2 AC Delco choices for the resistor. It all depends on the system set up.

I was thinking the resistor, but I was drawing a blank on what the part was called lol. Thx Ron.

If it's a similar setup to the OSB the blower resistor is not used on high and that is most likely the cause. But don't take my word for it

I replaced both the control module (it didn’t light up properly), and the blower motor resistor, and we are working properly!!!

Great. Since they both work together they could both have been needed.

good to hear you got it fixed, those systems are usually the resistor. although possible could be either/both items
