Plasti-dip is your friend (not as good pic but all I have). I did it 3 or so years ago and still looks fine. I sprayed over the Denali letters by just taping off a rectangle then once dry pulled it off the painted body. The letters look like they were originally black.
I have had a great experience with a local decal/vehicle wrap shop in southern Maine.
I have my trim gloss black vinyl wrapped - this includes the "eyelash" over the headlights.
They also did my roof rack in matte black.
Next project for the vinyl shop is my running boards...
Purchased new mirror covers and painted black to match. Debadged.
Fairly good price and THEY ARE PROS. Doing the vinyl wrap on your own, doing a QUALITY job, is not the easiest thing in the world. It also takes time. And a job poorly done usually ends in needing to take it to the pros for fixing.
Just my thoughts but I can't be happier with my vinyl wrap work!
