Center Console Denali Vs Tahoe

I have both 2005 Denali and Tahoe. My wife likes the Tahoe center console because of the pocket on top (so do I) and we both hate the Denali cup holder covered system that we never close.
So I thought I could just get a Tahoe lid and swap it out. NOPE it doesn't fit, different shape.

So my question is if I get a Tahoe center console assy will it swap out with the Denali. I would guess yes but I also assumed that the center consoles would be shaped the same and the lid would fit and I was wrong so I figured it's a good idea to ask now.

Good question. I feel for you on this one. I have an ‘02 Yukon and I know it too is different than the Tahoe.

Check pictures. Usually the console is the same it's the various panels attached to it that are different.

Well I bought a Tahoe door assuming the console itself was modular, why would they make a completely different one when all they needed to do was add different cup holders, lids, etc..
Nope the console is shaped different or at least where the top lid/door goes on.

I have read somewhere someone putting a denali console in a tahoe so I assume they mate to the dash the same but wanted to verify before I buy a whole console.
