Cat delete

I have a 17 Denali with 6.2. Has any done a cat delete with a y pipe on stock exhaust? Just curious of the sound and loudness.

Not sure about sound, but hopefully you like the smell of fuel when you're at stoplights.

OBD2 will give you issues after the delete . You must live in an area with no emissions testing. If you do delete it , save it.

If you are looking for different/more sound, I suggest that you try a different muffler/resonator combination, versus a cat delete. If you are looking for improved performance, I suggest that you get a tune, as it really wakes up the 6.2 motor.

Thanks for the reply’s. Tune and intake are on the way. Just looking for performance I don’t really want it any louder.

Then keep your cats. I went from 18" to 40" of muffler just to get the noise back down to a comfortable level after deleting my cats. The sound is the least of the problems, though. The smell is the real downside.
