Brake pad and rotor options

I did a few searches and did not find the info I was looking for.

I have a 2004 2500 Series Yukon XL. I still have the original brakes on the truck and have just about 90K on the odometer.

I stopped by the local auto parts store and found a variety of options.

The Wearever brand (no-named) rotors are $37 each and the Wagner brand are $112 each. The Severe-duty Wagner pads are about $150 total for the all 4 wheels.

I know many of you have changed your wheels and added bigger brakes, but those of you that still run stock brakes, what brake pads and rotors have you used?

I use cross drilled & slotted rotors, and Nighthawk Ceramic pads. Will never use anything else again. Ceramic pads are the shi*!! Leaves hardly any if any brake dust. Stops much better then stock now.

Haven't replaced the pads on my truck, but switched to Hawk HPS pads on my car. Kept the stock setup, but those pads made a HUGE difference in stopping. Low dust, too. Not sure the cheapest place online to buy them, just kind of have to compare, but I plan on getting them for the Denali when the time comes.

x2 hawk pads are the $hit. I have hawk hps on my jetta with slotted rotors and I just ordered hawk LTS and ATE slotted rotors for our tahoe. Lts are like heavy duty hps for trucks.

Front pads and rotors were $250 shipped from tirerack.com. Their prices are good and they ship fast and gaurantee fitment. They sort everything by vehicle so you can't mess it up.
