My 2009 Tahoe Z71 with 155,000 miles was way overdue for new shocks and struts. I always wanted to upgrade to the Bilstein 5100's but was quiet nervous about the fact that they did not include the spring perches for the struts. Living in WI, it was guaranteed that they would be rusted to the struts and reuse would be a challenge. I ordered both the shocks and struts from Rock Auto and was very happy to see that the struts now include the spring perches. Complete swap took me about 6 hours and my only regret is that I didn't replace the stock shocks about 50,000 miles earlier.

Thank you for providing feedback on your shock/struts replacement. Bilsteins are a popular aftermarket conversion for members of this Forum.

I'm jealous you got the perches with the front struts! I recently ordered some front 5100s for my Yukon, and had to cut out, and reuse my old perches.

Is there a part# stamped on those new perches?
