I managed to get 40,000 miles out of my last set of Eagle RS/A stock sized tires this time, so I was looking for something with more life in it. I picked up a set of BF Goodrich Elite Force T/As for under $200 each. The only thing that sucks about buying a cop specific sized tire is you get stuck with whatever branding the manufacturer thinks is patriotic, lol. Luckily its only on one side, and they're not directional, so I'll just put that on the inside.

Enjoy:

I just put Pursuit tires on my 08 Denali with 20" rims. There is a place that prepares Tahoe's for Highway patrol duty in town. They got 5 trucks delivered that all had Firestone Pursuit radials on them. The CHP has a spec requiring Goodyear wrangler pursuit tires? They pulled off all 5 sets and sold them. I got 4 brand new tires for $500. They have the high life rating, are rated for 149 MPH. So far they ride very smooth and quiet, handle well. I had Michelins which I really like and these are as quiet or better and the ride is very smooth. I would buy them again. Looking these tires up they are very expensive to purchase direct. I did read that in testing they did not perform well on ICE, good in the wet, good on snow, not good on ice. I can live with that. They should go 60,000 miles based on the rating but if they go 25,000 miles I got my moneys worth.

I have been using the goodyear eagle sport a/s 114v in the 20' size for a good while now pretty happy with them. not a high mileage tire but tires with good traction never get high mileage. medium hardness tires have better traction than hard or soft tires. that's just how it works, you give up mileage for better grip.
I would use the RSA's but they only go up 255 in the 20" and I like a little more sidewall and I don't think there is much if any difference in the eagle sport
