I was talking with a guy this weekend at the Eagles game who has the same year and make as my Tahoe and was showing me his iPod/iPhone input through the XM radio in the car.
I thought it was just mine, but the XM radio seems to have pretty bad overall sound. There is very little bass and seems like the sound it just all highs. Ive been plugging my iPhone in through the RSE (rear dvd player) and the sound is really good.
He showed me his setup and it sounds just as bad as the XM radio does. he was shocked when he heard how much better it sounded through the RSE inputs.
Anyone else experience this? I had a Sirius hookup in a Honda Ridgeline a long time ago and sounded bad and I was told that was because it was going through the radio frequency, not inputs.
I havent decided if I am going to replace the stock nav head unit, but if I will get much better sound through both XM and iPod/iPhone then I pretty much will.
