Best year Burb?

Hi all,

I am looking at buying a used 2007-14 Burb. Any suggestions on best years of this generation? I know the early ones had AFM issues and oil consumption. I will be buying on with under 100k miles, which puts most of these at 09 and newer with that mileage.

I've had my 07 for 6 years now and had very good luck with it. I had an issue with the AFM lifters about 4 years ago. Once past that I had the AFM tuned out and 0 issues since then. For the overall best years and biggest chance of getting low mileage I'd say 12-14 most likely depending on what budget you're working with.

2006 k2500 with a 6.0

07 & 08s have a 4-speed, 09+ Suburbans/Tahoes have the 6-speed.

Go with 09 plus (they come w 6spd trannys), some of them even have the 6.2 motor

Well, I pulled the trigger on a '13 LS with the tow package and rear locker. Quite the difference from my '97 Tahoe and '06 TrailBlazer.

I would stay with 08-09 if you're looking for a 6.2L. All engines after that have displacement on demand (eeww).

Thanks! We're very happy with it. 54k miles on the clock. They are Kelly Safari TSRs in 265/70/17.
