Has anyone run bags on the DJM lower control arms? Did you have to weld on a bigger plate to bolt the bag or just use the stock plate? Below are some pics of what I am wanting to accomplish (bagging it this weekend). I'll run the DJM lower control arm, with a small cup on the bottom and using a torsion style top mount.

Will this work using the DJM LCA's or should I put a bigger plate to give the lower bag mount more room? I'll remove the shock tab already on there, as I'll be running my shocks elsewhere.

Thanks!

Thats how we did mine... it even looks like the same bags.. i dont remember if we ran the 400 or 600psis but yea.. youre going down the exact same road i was.. and i could sit on the lower valence (the add on one like on the 06 and up) on 24s with 295/35s and get what im gonna guess was about 2 inches over stock..

here is my front end all up.. and all down.. on exactly what you are doing..

Thanks MOB! Sorry I couldn't get your setup...but I appreciate all the help! Hopefully if all goes as planned it will be done this weekend. I've got all the valves and airline plumbed, so now its a matter of getting the bags in and bolted up.

Here's what I'm running:

McGaughys Drop Spindles
DJM LCAs
Slam's up front
Stock 4link out back (for now)
Slam's out back (BOA for now)
4 1/2" Parkers for lift (1/2" line front tank to each valve)
4 3/8" Parkers for dump (can add reducers if needed)
2 Viair 480C's
2 5 gallon air tanks

22" U2 55 Wheels
SSBC Big Brake 14" Rotors & Caliper Relo Kit

It's not my ideal drop, but once I get it bagged I'll work on removing the fender wells, relocating fuse box, etc. and then work on a custom 4 link etc in the rear so I can get it to lay full frame.

This is all on top of me starting to build a full frame using a Silverado front clip in my garage, however I got tired of looking at the parts sitting in my garage for months.

295/35... its weird in some pics it has too much sidewall and in some pics they look like 20 series..

NO positioning bag has zero to do with camber.. you still just align it like a normal vehicle..
Bag position effects:
:: travel (the closer you are to the pivot point the more movement you get)
:: ride quality
:: psi required to lift (the further you are from the pivot point the less psi it takes to get the truck up)

But not camber

You can align your truck to have a good alignment at ANY height.. some heights take more parts and work than others.. but.. you can align it to sit at any ONE height...
Its the same as aligning a static drop truck...

SO if you aligned it to be perfectly aligned at -5 in the front.. its NOT gonna be aligned dumped.. OR lifted... this is why alot of DDs have bad camber dumped.. because.. why in the hell would we want it aligned dumped.. when its NEVER driven that way?

My alignment was st at about -4 in the front.. but i ususally drove it around somewhere between -3 and -6 depending on the roads and what i was doing...

Some bags dont require shocks.. and some do.. thinner bags need shocks more than thicker bags.. alot of people say the 400-600psi bags already act like a shock. i had shocks on the rear but not on the front of mine.. with 200psi firestone 2600s in the back and 600psi SE 2500#s in the front
