Wanting to fix my A/C and I just need to get some confirmation on something. Everytime I turn on the A/C, I hear the fan come on but no air blows through the vents. Is it a bad blower motor or a bad temp. door actuator.

For the rear seats, everytime I try turning it on nothing happens. I'm assuming that's a bad blower motor.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance

It's a 2001 GMC Yukon SLT with the 5.3

Ok, a "fan" and a "blower motor" are the same. If you hear the fan/blower motor and it does change speeds, you did not say, then you may well have a bad blend door or actuator but it may also be a control head. You did not supply any vehicle info, like so many others do as well, so I cannot go looking for parts links to show you.

We recommend that you put all your rig(s) info in your signature so we all don’t have to guess at year, make, model, engine size, trans, rear axle locker…….etc. Makes it way easier on all members that attempt to help, to have that info right up front. It is also recommended that you take a pic of your RPO codes, on the inside cover of the glove box, and post that image in your signature. All this info will greatly help those that will try to help with a problem.

If there is any other info, like upgrades, mods or recent mechanical/maintenance work done, that would be helpful in any post as well. Too many times a question is asked by the poster and after about 10 responses we find out that the poster has done recent work to attempt to fix the problem or work that was done that SEEMS not related to the problem.

Look at RA for samples of blend doors and blend door actuators. The controller will be under "electrical" under A/C and Heater control switch/panel. There are a bunch to choose from and so look for the application that suits your rig. Check for diagnostic videos at you tube. It literally could be one of the three things I listed. It will require some digging on your part.

Also, put the rig info in your signature. See my signature.
